(V) And this is how it’s going to start.

(L) Hello there wizards and wizardettes! Yes, I stole VVilliam’s catchphrase!

(V) Hex you.

(L) Anyhow, it’s nice to be back. Now that I know how to spell and stuff.

(V) I was going to tease you, but we need to actually get to the content before people start leaving.

(L) Truly! Funny, I feel like that whole launching Hexcasters thingy was forever ago, and at the same time, feels I’ve been drawing those cute skeletons just a couple of days ago.
(L) I guess that’s because Hexcasters just meant so much to me.

(V) I’m pretty sure our identity is HexCasters with a capital C, lemme check.
(V) Yep.
(V) Good on you, don’t even know our child’s name. What are you forgetting next? The anniversary date?

(L) ... Maybe…
(L) In my defence, this was just… Uh… Poetic. I mean, lowercasing the “c” invites a comfy sense of familiarity.

(V) That was your cue to say I forgot it too…
(V) ANYWAY, DEVLOG!

(L) YES! LOTS OF COOL STUFF HAPPENED! LIKE…

(V) Dark Souls II is really good! And I got an internship! And I’m graduating this year!

(L) And I’m not! Well, let’s look at the bright side of life, yeah? We managed to make a fancy-dandy HexCasters tournament! And there were more than two players in it!

(V) Oh right, that was cool. Weren’t there 8 total? Counting us two?

(L) Yeah! Actually there were eight players, not counting us both. The sad thing is that two of them left mid-tournament. Nevertheless, that was pretty cool regarding all the circumstances!

(V) Hmm, ok, what else…?
(V) Oh… yeah, that happened. Or rather, didn’t. Should we mention that?

(L) Eh, why not, t’was worth the shot!

(V) So, we tried to remake HexCasters with all the things we wish we could put in this version.
(V) For starters, if you ever look at the code, it’s an absolute mess.
(V) Also, the UX is clunky, and there’s generally a lot we wish we had had time to improve before release.

(L) Yeah, like, more skeletons.

(V) … Sure.
(V) But alas, burnout happened. Everything we considered we had done right in HexCasters fell apart in Hexes of Mortvell, as it were to be called.
(V) Communication stopped, motivation dropped…
(V) The incomplete code can still be found on FoG’s GitHub.

(L) Well, life was pretty sucky. I really wanted to make HexCasters 2: Magical boogaloo happen, but other things got on our way. But, good news! I made a Sticker pack for telegram!

(V) Oh, yeah, right! We need to spread the word of hexing, haxing and soloing on keytars to the world! How do you even add the pack to your telegram?
(V) I just realized the previous line sounds like an incredibly cheesy question, but I actually don’t know, I just added the pack when you sent me a sticker.

(L) How awkward… But it’s really easy, you just…

(V) You don’t know it either, do you? And you actually asked me OUT OF CHAT to say this explicitly, going against the very concept of this devlog.

(F) Wait… One year. Already? How did that happen? I’m completely befuddled.

(M) Gawd, our child grew so fast!... *happy sniffles and memories*

(L) Yeah… It was fun, though.
