Devlog #9: AESTHETICS
Greetings everyone!
I have once again seized the means of devlog production, and with some nifty stuff to show you, as the deadline dreadfully creeps near…
Anyways, the goodies: multiple, simultaneous and gorgeous improvements, as we now have marvelous sound effects! Now, you are probably thinking: “But wait! I have played your previous version, and it did have sound effects! When casting ‘wind’, a ‘wooosh’ sound would play amidst the completely silent game! Why are you spreading blatant lies?” But now, we have a plethora of sounds and even a brand new music, made by our glorious sound artist, for our game.
We are also making somevisual changes: a prettier menu screen and intro, a new sprite for the void, replacing that odd-looking black hex, and a sprite randomizer. Have you ever been bothered by the amount of flowers on your game’s meadows? Worry not, for now there are flowerless hexes, among other changes. Also, female wizards! These are only cosmetic changes, though, so you cannot blame your defeat on the absence of the flowers.
As a final remark, we added an turn-timer selection option. We realized that, in most cases, there is no need to rush a turn-based strategy game. Now, before the match starts, you must set up how long each turn is supposed to last, or if there is a turn timer at all.
Hope you like our changes!
